Watershed Fact Packs

Use these valuable multimedia kits to help your watershed association "get their feet wet" in watershed protection. The two programs featured here will help you learn all the little things you'll need to know to get your association started and more.

Urban Watersheds

A stunning, new photo-essay by Gerald Cyrus documents the beauty and promises that urban watersheds hold for the people and wildlife that live in them. From recreational purposes to an outright source of power, water holds tremendous value to city residents. Learn how people in urban areas use and view the watersheds around them, in this multimedia presentation.

Welcome to Watershed Minutes

Watershed Minutes is a production of the Environmental Fund for Pennsylvania, (EFP), producers of the Emmy award-winning environmental television series "GreenWorks." The Watershed Minutes public service announcements project is a partnership between EFP and the Western Pennsylvania Watershed Protection Program (WPWPP), administered by John Dawes.

Welcome to Watershed Weekly

Welcome to the first website and webcast devoted solely to watershed issues in Pennsylvania and the volunteers who are working across our state to improve the health of our watersheds and rivers. Be sure to check out this video presentation to introduce you to the show!

River Sojourns

What is a sojourn, you ask? It's a journey. A trip which may traverse hundreds of water miles down Pennsylvania's scenic rivers. Those traveling on a sojourn, or 'sojourners,' are people who share a common love for our rivers and take time out of their hectic lives to get a firsthand experience at the uniqueness of our waterways - either by kayak or canoe.

A Day in the Life...

Volunteers are making a difference in the health of our watersheds by cleaning up streams, revegetating streambanks and buffers, and by cleaning up abandoned mine drainage from the 1940's and 50's. To celebrate their achievements we've asked them to tell us about their hard work through photos. Check out this site for a look at the volunteers who are making it happen!
